Woodend Arts Association thanks its Sponsors and Supporters

The success of WAA since its formation in 1994 would not have been possible without the generosity of many individuals, organisations and charitable trusts & foundations.

The Barn and WAA have no guaranteed core funding and so we rely upon money raised via fund-raising, sponsorship and membership fees to help fund our arts events. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that help us deliver our varied and ever-changing programme. This includes a great many volunteers who generously give their time but it also includes many financial supporters who are listed below.

We are always looking for sponsors for individual events. If you or your company is interested in sponsoring an event, please contact us; it doesn't have to be a large amount as every little bit helps! And if you want to sponsor a particular band or show which is not in our programme, talk to us and we might be able to arrange it.

Major contributors to the capital funding of WAA include:

Initial capital investment in the Barn from 1992 - 1995 totalled approximately £100,000, funded mainly by:

The project totalled some £44,000 and was principally funded by The National Lottery through the Scottish Arts Council, and Aberdeenshire Council.

In addition to capital funding, WAA has to raise around £30,000 in donations & sponsorship every year to enable it to provide a diverse arts programme.
