Stained Glass Workshops with Gordon Watt

The class will cover stained glass techniques for beginners and more experienced stained glass artists. Introductory techniques, including cutting glass, leading and soldering will be accompanied by more advanced techniques (e.g plating, incorporation of found objects). By the end of the 10 week course each participant will have completed a leaded glass panel, and have learned the basic skills to design and construct stained glass windows. The class will be taught by Gordon Watt who specialises in contemporary architectural glass through his company Morning Glass.

Art for All - Four Week Course in Oils with Neal MacDonald


Wednesday 27 February & Wednesdays 5, 12, 19 March Oil Paint

1pm - 3pm

4 week course in oils presented by Gray's lecturer Neal MacDonald. Investigate different approaches to colour using oil paint, theory and examples from other artists, including colour charts, complimentary colour and some limited palette work. Subjects will range from figurative to still life, contemporary work and art history, Scottish colourists through to Kadinsky on different surfaces canvas, board and paper.

Introduction to Oils with Neal MacDonald


Wednesday 27 February & Wednesdays 5, 12, 19 March Blue Oil

7pm - 9pm

Introduction to oil paint with Neal Macdonald using a variety of surfaces - canvas, board and paper and using a limited palette with subjects ranging from still life to figurative.
